Pope Francis opens Holy Door on Christmas Eve to launch Jubilee year

Pope Francis on Christmas Eve opened the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican to kick off Jubilee 2025. By walking through the Holy Door, Catholics will be able to receive a ‘plenary indulgence’ for their sins. The door will remain open for the year to welcome an expected 30 million pilgrims.
