The actress and her professional dance partner Vito Coppola are currently in training for the penultimate week of the competition
Sarah Hadland has been dealt a ‘tough’ blow just days before the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final. The actress and her professional dance partner Vito Coppola are currently in training for the penultimate week of the competition.
Sarah and Vito were last seen in the ballroom Saturday night (November 30) as the latest live show took place and saw the six remaining couples performing to popular songs from the stage as the competition reached the quarter-final.
Miranda star Sarah and professional dancer Vito kicked things off on the all-important night, which was also the show’s Musicals special, as they scored 38 out of a possible 40 points for their Charleston to Popular from the musical Wicked, with Vito letting out a massive cheer at the end of their performance.

It was later confirmed during Sunday night’s (December 1) results show that Sarah and Vito had made it through to the semi-final of Strictly’s 2024 series, which takes place this Saturday night (December 7) before this year’s finalists are confirmed.
During the sem-final, each couple will perform two dances for the first time, with Sarah and reigning Strictly champion Vito taking on a Tango to Big Love by Fleetwood Mac as well as a Jive to I’m So Excited by The Pointer Sisters.
But ahead of the penultimate week of the 2024 series, reasearch is suggesting Sarah might struggle this weekend. It’s been suggested that she could be on course for elimination having been dealt the toughest set of dances, while Pete Wicks looks set to escape being voted out once again.
Research from SlotsCalendar has revealed that the Tango and Jive – Sarah’s dances this weekend – have been responsible for a combined 16 of the past 72 eliminations from the show (22.22%) – the highest proportion of any of this week’s dance combos.
Chris McCausland could also be set to struggle as he performs the Charleston and Viennese Waltz, which have led to over 15% (11/72) of eliminations since 2018.
At the other end of the scale, Pete’s Argentine Tango and Foxtrot have been responsible for just three exits in the same period, meaning he could be on course for a place in the final. Also being dealt a generous hand is Tasha Ghouri, with her Waltz and Salsa combining for just three eliminations, while JB Gill’s Salsa and Paso Doble combo has been responsible for five exits.
Spokesperson for SlotsCalendar, Viorel Stan, said: “Despite being one of the best dancers throughout the series, our research has seemingly dealt Sarah Hadland a worrying chance of elimination in this weekend’s Strictly semi-final.
“Data collected since 2018 has found the Tango and Jive – Sarah’s two routines this weekend – are the hardest combination on show in the semi-final, contributing to almost a quarter of all eliminations in the last seven series. It is Pete Wicks who has been handed another lifeline as he dances the Argentine Tango and Foxtrot, which have combined for a mere three eliminations since 2018.
“Joining him with just three combined exits is Tasha Ghouri’s Waltz and Salsa combo, with the two celebs looking all but set for a spot in next week’s final.”
