Hyderabad: A woman constable and two others allegedly attempted suicide by jumping into the Adluru Yellareddy Pedda Lake in Kamareddy district on Wednesday.

The woman constable, identified as Shruthi, along with Sub-Inspector Sai Kumar and a computer operator named Nikhil, reportedly jumped into the lake in Adloor Yellareddy village. The incident came to light late Wednesday night after their phones were found switched off from Wednesday afternoon.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the mobile signals of Bhiknoor SI Sai Kumar, Bibipet Police Station woman constable Shruthi, and Nikhil, a computer operator at the Bibipet Primary Agricultural Society, were traced to the vicinity of the lake. A car and footwear believed to belong to SI Sai Kumar were discovered near the site.
